Pete's Story

“Before my time here, I had The God of Why. Why did you do this to me? Why did you
take away that person too soon? Just Why? During those years of tough situations and
after losing a child during Covid, I turned to the buffet of sin. Filling a God-sized hole
with any distraction that would allow me to numb the pain and suffering that was
occurring in my life.
Since coming here, I’ve realized that God has a bigger purpose and direction for my life.
Although it hasn’t been easy, nor will it be easy moving forward, I have found the
strength that God provides. I have learned that it is okay to admit your shortcomings
and ask for help during temptations and weak moments in life. God is the firm
foundation and strength needed to live a life of true purpose and passion.
As I accept a role within the ministry, it is vital to lean on Jesus and continue to take
steps toward Him to strengthen the relationship that this program has helped cultivate.
May His word be the lantern upon my feet and guide me through my days.”
